Dr. Sameer Qazi is currently working as HoD & Associate Professor in the College of Engineering at Karachi Institute of Economics and Technology, Pakistan. Prior to joining PAF-KIET he has worked in WorldCALL Broadband Ltd and at PNEC-NUST (as Assistant Professor) and DHA Suffa University (as HoD Electrical Engineering). He has authored over 25 publications in indexed journals and conferences.

Dr Imran Naseem received his B.E. (Electrical Engineering) degree in 2002 from the NED University of Engineering and Technology, Pakistan. He did his M.S. (Electrical Engineering) in 2005 from the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), KSA and PhD in 2010 from The University of Western Australia. He did his post doctorate at the Institute for Multi-sensor Processing and Content Analysis, Curtin University of Technology, Australia.
He joined the College of Engineering, KIET, Pakistan in 2011 where he is currently an Associate Professor. He is also an Adjunct Research Fellow at the School of Electrical, Electronic and Computer Engineering at The University of Western Australia. His research interests include pattern classification and machine learning with a special emphasis on biometrics and bioinformatics applications. He has authored several publications in top journals and conferences including IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence, IEEE International Conference on Image Processing etc. His benchmark work on face recognition has received more than 180 citations in less than four years.

Dr. Husain Parvez

Husain Parvez received his Bachelors of Engineering in Computer Science from National University of Sciences and Technology, Rawalpindi. He received MS and PhD in Electronics and Computer Science from University Pierre & Marie Curie (Paris-6), Paris. Before doing MS and PhD, he worked at the System-on-Chip tools department at Communications Enabling Technologies Islamabad, and at Video Decoder & Optimization department at Streaming Networks Islamabad. He has taught at University Pierre & Marie Curie, Paris, and at IQRA University, Karachi. He is associated with PAF-KIET since 2012. His current research interests include design and exploration of FPGA architectures and related CAD tools for FPGAs.
Dr. Parvez was the co-principal investigator of two ICTR&D funded projects, each worth 14 million rupees. He is also working on funded projects of mutual interest in collaboration with international partners. He has authored and co-authored 5 publications in high impact journals, and 15 papers in international conferences. He has also authored a book titled “Application-Specific Mesh-based Heterogeneous FPGA Architectures” published by Springer.

Dr. Muhammad Arif has completed PhD with distinction in July 2018 from PAF KIET University, Karachi, Pakistan. He has more than 6 years of research experience in the field of adaptive signal processing during PhD and masters degrees. He has also done research work at King Abdul Aziz University, Saudi Arabia during his PhD degree program. He is actively engaged with academic research institutes for working in collaboration in the field of adaptive signal processing for single-agent and multi-agent environments. He has been associated with PAF-KIET as Assistant Professor since January 2015. He has 6 research journal papers in ISI indexed journals and presented multiple papers at national and international conferences.

Dr. Mazher Iqbal has successfully completed his PhD 2018 from PAF-KIET, Karachi, Pakistan. During his Ph.D., he has succeeded to publish 06 international research articles, 02 out of them are published in ISI indexed international journals. He has more than 10 years of teaching experience. During his Ph.D., he became a part of a collaborative research project with Umm-Al Qura University, KSA. The project was based on the exploration of new logic blocks for FPGAs, which can allow sharing of SRAM tables among NPN equivalent functions. Moreover, he has also actively participated in a research project funded by ICTRnD, Pakistan. He has been associated with PAF-KIET since January 2015.

Engr. Kamran Ali Khan

Mr. Kamran Ali Khan has a vast experience in the field of Digital Systems’ Design, Computer Architecture and Computer Networks. He has been into academics for the last 18 years and have extensively contributed in teaching and curriculum design of engineering courses. Mr. Khan is also engaged with Pakistan’s Electronic Media in the capacities of researcher and anchor person. Mr. Sajjad Hussain did his BE & MS in Electrical Engineering from NED University and Project Management from McGill University, Montreal, Canada. He has over 15 years professional experience with renowned organizations like K-Electric, Siemens Pakistan and DHA Cogen Ltd.
He has been associated as Visiting Faculty with higher education institutes since 2004 with NED University, Institute of Business Management (CBM), ZABIST, BIZTEK prior to joining PAF KIET as a full time Faculty member in 2012.
